Help Bill, Help Firefighters, Help Yourself

This just happens to fall on our bye week so this is a good opportunity for a team event to support a good cause.


On Sunday, October 3, the City of Fairfax Fire Department Benevolent Fund is hosting their 1st annual Firefighter 5k to raise money for their fund .

This fund is being established to assist City of Fairfax firefighters who have been injured in the line of duty.

If you are looking for a way to get some exercise and to support a good cause, this is a way to do both.

I have been a volunteer firefighter with this department for 3 years and I can attest that this fund is supporting a great bunch of folks who do lots of good for our City and County.

If interested, you can get your registration form and payment to me and I will be happy to hand deliver it.

I live close to the race course and invite you over for burgers, beer and football after the race.
