I guess it's an indication of just how far we've come as a team that yesterday's 51-0 beatdown was a bit of a letdown.
Alabama Sam had a typical monster game and even though I dotted one down myself (meaning that Skittles and his ridiculous orange boots have been outscored by me this season), our pack didn't display the type of dominance we need to show the week before the first round of MARFU.
Even more disappointing was our timing in the backline. With Brent and the Cuban at the centers I expected them to have a field day, but we couldn't seem to really hit a good crash and I believe the only score that they had came on a busted play.
The lone bright spot of the day was the play of our wings and fullback. They caught and countered kicks brilliantly, ran hard, and made some nice passes to each other as well. FireDog is still learning the game, but he's cutting down on his mistakes and playing some pretty good rugby.

The Backs scored 3 or 4 tries and played well. True we had some timing miscues, but its the 2nd game we played with that lineup. After a good week of practice we'll be ready for Harrisburg.
Plus if Andy didn't have so much hair he would have busted a 5th try on a great backline zoom play. Plus let's not forget the try Andy had where the ref blew the play dead on Pax's penalty rather than give us the advantage and try. Walsh's exact words, "Oh Shit I messed up." MJ scored the next play off nicely executed rolling maul.
9 Tries were not enough this weekend boys. Remember that tomorrow as we're running up the hill.
The Backs scored 3 or 4 tries. . .
It was only 3 and you were outscored by the forwards 2-to-1.
I stand by my analysis. It looked like Pax's centers were making some plays, but I really thought that Brent & Rueben would slice and dice those guys.
You know Dave...I hate that hill and I hate you...
