Gentlemen,
We are putting together a preseason tour to Canada for the Montreal Irish Labor Day Tournament. This will be a hella fun tour and a chance to get in some good rugby before our matrix season starts in the fall.
I need to get some confirmations or at least a rough idea about interest before I open the invite to other teams -- so lemme know ASAP. Here is the basic info:
Dates:
Friday 8/29: Travel/PM welcome social
Saturday 8/30: Rugby! PM social
Sunday 8/31: Rugby!/PM shenanigans
Monday 9/1: Travel
Lodging: ~$130 – $150/ea for 3 nights in a downtown hotel.
Travel: Flights are about $600 roundtrip (you can get flight/hotel packages for just about the same amount).
It's about a 10+ hour drive and I imagine a lot of guys would plan on going that route to save some cash and for a fun road trip. We could potentially split it up and leave Thursday evening with the plan of making to someplace (Andy's/Goody's/Casey's parents' house?) in NY for the night.
Other Stuff: If you are even somewhat interested, I suggest getting a passport NOW since you need one to get into Canada and they can take a little while to process (besides, you're a grownass man, you should have a passport).
Hopefully we will be doing a West Pot-only side, but if we open it up we will most likely get tour jerseys made for people to wear/trade.
Your pal,
Sideshow
