Brent's love-hate relationship with referees

I don't know what it is, but Brent just cannot have a beautiful relationship with a referee. Maybe he has commitment issues, maybe he's just scared of finally settling down on the field, maybe there's a touch-judge involved.

Whatever the cause this tension has strained the once blossoming love started in Memphis back in 2003 when this picture was taken. Many on the team remember Brent's "disagreement" with the ref at Slug Sevens in June, causing him to sleep on the couch for the rest of the day. And again in Philly this past weekend, Brent felt that we were being too tough on our opponents and *kindly* asked the ref to grant them 30 meters in penalties.

Brent: can you post the story behind this picture in the comments section?

yes its true i love...I love...I love the color red being held up at me mr. referee. But beware angry bald bulls will charge when shown the color red. This happened in 2003 in memphis we were playing the kenyan exiles in a sevens tourney and i was breaking away and about to score when a large kenyan fellow close lined me. The ref saw this (I have the video of the incident and the referee watching as well) and failed to award a penalty or even a warning. I took matters into my own hands. first with words and told the ref since he was not going to promote a safe game, then the field was not safe for him. I was redcarded then i got even more pissed thus the bull charge in the photo shot.
