10 Year Old Portugese Boy Named President of West Potomac

In a stunning move Thursday afternoon, a 10 year old Portuguese boy named Luis staged a bloodless coup to ascend to the presidency of West Potomac Rugby Football Club. Luis, better known by his noms de guerre "EboRâguebi" started leaving cryptic messages on the West Pot blog several weeks ago. These messages are now known to have been code directed at the other conspirators to begin subversive operations.

One of these conspirators appears to be the revolutionary "Das Beard." Unassuming and quite sweaty, Das Beard has been plotting the overthrow since arriving at West Potomac nearly a year ago. Fueled by a revolutionary ideology and driven by his unquenchable thirst for power, Das Beard is as violent as he is hairy.

Events came to a head Thursday shortly after a speech given by former President Robb Stout. President Stout had just finished speaking about his plan for the direction of West Potomac this fall when he was detained by forces loyal to EboRâguebi and led by the fearsome Das Beard.

President Stout's current whereabouts are unknown, and those still loyal to the deposed leader fear for his safety. He is thought to be held somewhere in Arlington, and efforts on behalf of the Red Cross have so far failed to reach him.

President EboRâguebi has scheduled a news conference for tonight to outline his vision for West Potomac. Das Beard will be introduced as his Match Secretary, and he is expected to announce that former President Stout will play for the Exiles. Ousted Match Secretary Bible was placed under arrest and will be forced to gain 80 pounds so that he can no longer threaten breakaways while playing touch.

Most of the governing members of West Potomac appear to be cooperating with the new regime and the majority of players seem to accept EboRâguebi's authority. In the confusion immediately following the coup, Treasury Secretary Gessner changed the locks on the presidential mansion and is offering to sell EboRâguebi the keys at an exorbitant price.

Between Koz's and EboRâguebi's posts I have to stop reading the blog at work. There are only so many times you can be caught laughing out loud before people start to catch on that you don't actually work all 8 hours. Fish, what is PBR? Friggin' hilarious.
