MD Exiles Turkey Trot 7's

For anyone around on Saturday and looking to get a little rugby in, the Exiles are hosting their annual Turkey Trot 7's tourney in Bethesda. West Pot is not entering an official side, but they will have a couple harlot teams if anyone wants to show up.

The Jones @ Rock & Roll Hotel

I have a couple buddies in a band that are headlining a show at Rock & Roll Hotel on H Street. The band is called The Jones and they play good, old fashioned blues rock.

This will mark the team's triumphant return to R&R after we were put on the guest list by the Swedish doom-metal band Witchcraft after meeting them at the OB/YB drink-up. Let me know if you are around and want to go check it out.

Team Elections @ Hamilton's

Just when you thought you wouldn't have to hear any more election talk this year, it's time for us to hold our own. We will probably get together @ 7:00 but I will confirm that next week.

Being an officer of the club is a great way to help support the organization that let's you come out, train, play, and drink. This train does not drive itself, but there are a lot of old boys and ex-officers that will help you be effective if you are interested in taking up a leadership role on the team.

It's important that we get plenty of people out on Thursday and let me know ahead of time if you are interested in a position and we can make sure you can get nominated.

Hamilton's Two-Year Anniversary Party

Scott & Co. are celebrating their second year in business with $2 for all beers and rail drinks throughout the night and a couple DJ's. To sweeten the pot, just about every beer and liquor distributor that they work with will be there with a ton of swag and expense accounts lining up the free drinks.

Plan on coming out in your PBR/Wet Pot finery so that we can represent the club and our sponsor while supporting our clubhouse! This is also a great chance to bring out friends and coworkers so that we can use it as a recruiting event -- I will try to get a flier together next week to send around, but start spreading the word before people disappear for the holiday.
