Join Alexandria Rugby for a pre-season touch rugby tournament and help support youth rugby in Alexandria!

Get a good, non-contact work-out before the start of your season. A one day touch rugby tournament on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Ft Ward Park in Alexandria. It's a great team building, fitness and skills-development opportunity for clubs. Proceeds will benefit Alexandria's summer youth rugby program.

Rules of Play:

* 15 minute quarters, round robin format
* Seven players on field at a time with unlimited substitution
* One division plays at a time on two fields (no hanging out all day for next game)

Divisions: Teams of 7-10 players in one of the following divisions:

* Open Division (open to all players 18 and over)
* Forwards Only Division (all players must play a forward position in 15’s)
* Women’s Division (open to all female players)
* Over 35/co-ed (open to male and female players over the age of 35)

Location:

* Ft Ward Park, 4301 West Braddock Rd, Alexandria, 22304
Note: this is a synthetic, field turf playing surface. No screw in cleats or rugby boots. ½” molded studs or less.

Cost:

* $100/team, $250 for 3 teams if you register before Jan 9.
* $125 per team to register after Jan 9.
* Make checks payable to “Alexandria Rugby.”
