Some, if not all, of you have heard me talk about CrossFit as a work out that is great for getting into rugby shape. I wanted to post some links and videos to a few workouts so you can get a sense of what I'm talking about.
The work outs or WODs are great for rugby and general fitness. You do not need to join a specific CrossFit gym to do the WODs but it's encouraged.
The basic tenants of the work outs are high intensity and moving as much weight over as much distance as possible. Workouts vary between pure aerobic, mix of aerobic/anaerobic, and anaerobic.
Now I'm not a physical specimen so take it as well, but it's definitely better than just benching and curling at Gold's.
The gym I joined is in beautiful Arlington, VA at Potomac Crossfit.
